Lori was a judge. She was attending a Christmas party for court officers. there was drinking involved. she had a couple of drinks. She did not think that she was intoxicated she had a short drive from the courthouse to her home. She was convinced she could make it home. She was weaving.
A driver called the police and reported her erratic driving. The dispatcher called a nearby patrol car. "unit 14"the dispatcher said. The officer pressed on his radio. "this is unit 14!" he said. "reports of an erratic driver. "the dispatcher said. the officer was told the description of the car and license plate. The police officer found the car. He sped up and flashed his lights.
Lori pulled onto her street. She saw the police car. "oh no!" she thought. She complied with the order and pulled over. She stopped the car. She waited for the officer to arrive. The officer turned off the car. The officer got out of the car and walked over to her. She pulled down the window.
She recognized the officer. He was officer Paul's car. He was fairly new to the force. He has testified in her court on a few cases. He recognized her. "your honor!" he said in a nervous tone."hello officer!" she replied. "I do need your license and registration, your honor," he said. He tried to hide his nervousness. He had never pulled over a v.i.p before. She acted weird when she tried to get the license. She appeared inebriated. she had slurred speech. She acted off. She found it difficult to do the simplest of tasks. This was obvious to the officer. She was finally able to open the glove compartment. She found her registration. She opened her purse and struggled to find the license. She gave them to him.
He went to his car to run the license and registration. The car was registered to judge Lori Webber. Judge Weber has been cited for speeding before. She once hit a phone pole and fled the scene. She paid a fine. She was charged with d.u.i once but she pleaded no contest and paid a fine.
"dispatch! This is unit 14. A suspected intoxicated driver is a sitting judge with a record of erratic and intoxicated driving. She is intoxicated. "he said.
He came back. "your horner where have you been and where are you going?" he asked."I am on my way home. I am at the courthouse for the Christmas party!" she said.
"how much have you had to drink ?" he asked. "two glasses of wine I think. "she said. He asked her to step out of the car. She struggled to even move. He administered a breathalyzer and she was well above the legal limit. "your honor, I need to place you under arrest." the officer said. She did not resist. He gently placed the cuts on her. He placed her in the car. She threw up in the car. She was brought to the county jail.

She was turned over to officer erin. "hello your honor." she said. Lori was embarrassed. Erin worked for her a few years back as a bailiff. She wrote a letter of recommendation when she applied to work for the jail. She had thrown her a baby shower when she was expected. She took her to the intake area. She patted her down. She made sure she was not a threat. She locked the door.
"I am going to remove the cuffs!" she said. She took them off. She flexed her wrist. it was good to have her hands free again. She was fingerprinted.
She wore a black pantsuit. She was famous for her pantsuit. "remove your shoes!" she instructed. she kicked off her shoes. There were dress shoes. The officer searched her toes with her gloved hands.
"I need you to remove all jewelry!" she said. She took off her watch. she placed it in a Manila envelope. She took off a locket with the picture of her kids. She took off a bracelet she wore. She took off her class ring as well. They were put in the envelope.
