The picture in the frame held a lot of memories. Some good, some bad, her
tired eyes roamed over it one last time
before she tossed it in the fire. It was
time to start a fresh.

As she gazes at the picture of her husband,she can't help reminiscing how
it all began twenty years ago to be precise. It almost puts a smile on her
face. Like something out of a fairy tale
a knight in shinning armour.

This once handsome, articulate man
who completely won her heart and
affections is no more. The early days
she was treated like a princess, wined
and dined in some of the most prestigious restaurants; best theatres
even traveling the world to some of the
most desired destinations around the
globe.

Life was good he was such fun to be
with. He made her feel like he only had
eyes for her. The feeling of euphoria
hung heavily on her heart.

But marriage; a few children, a cheating
husband, eroding love over the years
I guess its taken its toll. She had been
extremely sad for a number of years
eventually divorce was on the cards
as she picks up the picture, a sadness
comes over her.

But she knows she has to be strong,
what started so well wasn't quite the
fairy tale ending she thought. Still she
has life and a chance of a fresh start
he made his bed, let him lie in it.
Without a second thought, she through
his picture in the fire and was gone.
