While walking his dog one evening Hamel Hoch came across a halfpenny. His dog sniffed it and was not impressed. Hamel thought to himself ‘’Those who dream in halves are full of nightmares’’ and so he did not pick up the item. So, he went on walking his dog and went home to a warm fire and a cold wife. Over the years of their marriage his stomach had grown fat and his heart had grown thin.
