The Full Moon Flower
Mountains on the far east
White nightcaps on, asleep
Full moon fully shining
Yet, forest misty and deep

A pack of wolves a bit further
Howling mournfully all together
Bathed her frozen figure in sweat
For the fear to better seep

Out of breath with shaky legs
She leaned on one huge cedar
Two orange orbs staring at her
Shocked her to cry out and leap

Frightened yet determined
To find it one way or another
For this was the oath she took
And was hell bent on to keep

A pale hand placed on heart
Prayed for her patient mother
Knowing that cold might have
Made buds and sprouts nip

The only cure for her mother
The legendary full moon flower
She had heard her telling so
Before falling to a deep sleep

Not losing hope she decided
To go on in further and further
Tears filled her eyes again
But she had no time to weep
