The Master and the Servant I
Once upon a time, there were a master and a servant who accompanied each other on a distant island. One day, the master was too ill to manage his fields and fortunes. He wanted his servant to find someone who could inherit his fortunes and become a great leader to assist his people on the island. The master gave a mission and a hint to his loyal servant, and he said, “Please hire a fisherman to sail with you on the sea. Find out the most valuable thing after you face obstacles and difficulties on the sea.”
After receiving his masters’ order, the servant found a fisherman and hired some sailors for their journey on the sea. Because they needed to find a heck of supplies for their adventure, they went to a small and shabby inn to ask the owner whether he knew where they could find more supplies and who was willing to provide these supplies for them. The owner said, “You would better bring some wine and coins to Mr. Dickenson’s house. He was the only person on our island that had traveled to different isles.”
After having had conversations with the owner, the servant decided to visit Mr.Dickenson’s house to ask for more assistance from him. When he arrived, the scenes were too shocking to believe. A huge castle was standing in front of him, and he saw a bunch of servants working in his orchards, gathering the fruits and the vegetables. Then, the servant walked toward them and asked where Mr. Dickenson was. However, none of the workers could answer him. Suddenly, Mr. Dickenson was walking to the orchards and asked what happened. The workers told him that someone wanted to talk to him.
At that moment, the servant and Mr. Dickenson looked at each other. Mr. Dickenson was wondering whether the servant had some unique questions to ask for him. After talking to the servant, he realized why the servant was eager to recruit sailors and ships to travel to different islands and to complete his master’s order.
