An unknown city in the jungle
If not today I will find it tomorrow". Lieutenant Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett often told friends.
Percy Harrison firmly believed that an ancient city with treasures was hidden somewhere in the jungles of Brazil and that the city could be found. He called that secret city the 'Lost City of Zed'.
Harrison was a British traveler. After retiring from the army, he embarked on a number of adventures.
It was in 1914 that he obtained information about the 'Lost City of Zed' from some ancient documents. He believed that the city was in the jungles of the Mato Grosso region of Brazil.
In 1920, Percy Harrison embarked on a solo adventure to discover the city. It did not succeed.
In 1925 he set out again with his youngest son Jack and Jack's friend Remel.
But,
They did not return!
Even today no one knows where they hid when they searched the ancient city.
There are stories that the cannibals in the jungle killed them. Or, some say, caught in the wild.
Is there really an ancient city in that jungle? What happened to those who sought it? Those secrets always lie unsolved.
