Is Ariel the little mermaid a good show for little girls to watch?
Is Ariel the little mermaid a good show for little girls to watch?

Guys, did you ever think how was Ariel's character in that Disney movie? She was young and lived in the sea. While choosing her mate, she was blinded by her decisions. So much blinded, that she didn't consider taking advises from experienced people on how up create the love. It felt like, god was frustrated given all his darkness as the firm of Ariel's infatuated world, which is even scary walking beside that.

Growing up, Ariel got the unconditional care, which made her too confident to get what she wanted. But she didn't understanding and proper communication from her family and friends. Which led her to lack of self-understanding and self-reflection of her feelings. This made her live in her own infatuated world, which didn't have the brain to judge right or wrong.

She had a love at first sight with Eric without knowing him, which leads to two possible meanings. Either she is too materialistic, that's why world outside the sea and Prince Eric full with jewels attracted her. Another possible meaning can be, she had unconditional love for Eric in her head, which we see when saves his life and comfort her with her divine voice. Did god make these two dark and fire soul for blind reunion where compatibility and communication is undervalued?

Do you think this is a right way to fall in love? Without knowing the person and talking with them, checking their compatibility with you. That's one dumb part of the movie. Another horrible part is Ariel gives away everything including her voice to get Eric. True love doesn't mean one-sided bleeding sacrifices. What Ariel did for Eric can't be called loving him, she was inviting great self-destruction with writing her own story.

We see, Ariel had written her story well, by following the mesmerizing steps to achieve Eric. And at the end her desires won. But there's difference in achieving someone and getting closer to someone. Ariel and her sea maniacs did every possible thing to get the kiss from Eric, so Ariel could win him.

But what did she do to get to know him or get emotionally closer to him? Nothing. The whole story was two person finding each other to live a happily ever after. There weren't any efforts to check the connection and compatibility from both parties.

The point is when our little girl will see dumb Ariel achieving Eric doing harm to herself blindlessly, won't that affect their brain badly? Our girls need to see girls who attracts guy that add well-being to their lives in every aspects. Our girls shouldn't see young girls doing dumb things, which they call sacrifice, to get their materialistically attractive person.

The whole movie indirectly indicates, love should bleed endlessly. We also see Eric falling for Ariel for being in a certain way. When he met Ariel again, she didn't have her voice. He didn't bother to find out a girl who he can love unconditionally for a lifetime.

Besides, Ariel didn't met any other potential mates, which could show if Eric was the one and only attraction for her.

So, if your girl is watching this show, you should have a conversation and make her understand, love shouldn't be like this dumb, infatuated, bleeding characters. Love should be something that will bring confidence, security and peace in their life along with your girl's inner peace.
