They met at the cafeteria where George was working, and that was love at first sight. Her tantalising eyes, sharp nose, pointed jaw, and love for me were everything her name is Sophie.

One day, Sophie is in the hospital for her chemotherapy for her leukaemia.

"Are you okay here?" George asked Sophie, and then he gently squeezed her hand.

"Yes, I'm okay, you can go now. You're already late for your work," Sophie answered George with full calmness on her face.

"Okay, okay, you take care, okay?" George bid goodbye to Sophie.

As the days passed by the illness of Sophie got worse, they were there for each other, and the illness of Sophie brought them together as one.

One night, Sophie shouted, "Ahhhh." As George rushed to the next room looking for Sophie.

"What's going on, Sophie?" George worriedly asked Sophie.

"It hurts." Sophie with tears on her face and full of sweat on her face said to George.

George rushed Sophie to the nearest hospital, with him holding her hands reassuring her that it was going to be okay.

"How is she, Doc?" George asked the doctor.

"Mr. Sullivan, she is getting worse." The doctor said to George frankly.

"Can you do something about it, Doc?" George asked the doctor with tears in his eyes.

"There is nothing we can do about it, her illness is at the terminal stage already." The doctor said again.

George sat on the edge of the hallway of the hospital asking God, "Oh God, why Sophie?" With tears on his face and hands on his face.
