" Look tito daddy!! It's Orions belt!" sigaw ng batang kasama ko.
He's 4 years old and turning 5 this coming week. We're stargazing--one of our favorite hobby.
"Wow! You have a good eyesight," sabi ko sa kanya saka ginulo ang buhok niya.
" It's beautiful tito daddy, I wish mommy's here," he said without breaking his contact with the sky full of bright shining little lights-- the stars.
"Tito daddy, you once told me that stars isn't your favorite right? What happened that you're an astrophile now?just askin' by the way," maya maya'y sabi niya
This guy has a bright mind. Naalala pa niya yun.
Napangiti ako habang inaalala ang mga dahilan kung bakit nga ba minahal ko ang mga bituin.
" Do you wanna know the reason?" I ask him.Mabilis naman siyang tumango.
Ang cute talaga ng batang ito.
" During my highschool days, I've met this girl under a starry night. Well, it's not really a good start for the both of us because she keeps on bugging me about how beautiful the night sky was when inside my head, it is full of messed up thoughts. I never appreciated the spectacular view she wanted me to see. She love them so much that we got a small fight eventhough we don't know each others names.. funny right?"
" Did that girl influence you to love stars tito daddy?" Inosente niyang tanong.
"Well fully, yes, she is the reason why I love stars. She proved to me that stars are reachable even if your mind says no. And I have proven it when the day comes that I fell inlove with her and she returned my love back,"
I look at him and he just gave me a face of asking to continue.
"We're both so happy back then, we're sweet with each other and we're both afraid of losing each other. As of me, I was scared that one day she'll fell out of love but our relationship became stronger..but---"
"What happened tito daddy?" Napabangon na siya nang mapansing mukhang may hindi siya magandang maririnig.
I gave him a sad smile.
" But sadly, we didn't end up with each other.. she met my bestfriend and my bestfriend got attracted to her, as well as her.. they both cheat behind my back. And the two stars that I've loved became meteors that falling, they surprised me with their loud boom inside my chest and made a crater in my heart. Slowly, breaking me.. "

" Hey baby, what's wrong?" I ask heartily
" Well, your story is a bit sad tito daddy.. I hate the both of them.. they hurt the most handsome and loving tito daddy in the world," he said pouting.
You shouldn't. I wanna tell him.
"Baby?!! Is my baby there?" Someone called.
Napalingon kaming dalawa at napatayo siya ng makita ang tumatawag. Patakbo siyang pumunta dito at yumakap.
" How's my baby?"
"Fine mommy, we're stargazing."
" Thank you dre," a man behind her said and slowly putting his arms on her waist.
" Oh! Thank you Sam" she smiled at me.
How I miss that smile. How I miss to see that twinkle in her eyes. How I miss loving my only star but what can I do? They're both happy now.And they've got their new little star that gives peace in their hearts like what the nightsky is giving me tonight--but with a bit of sadness.
