Heartbreak December(Chapter 6- Leaving Everything Behind)
Denezius put on his earphones, the online class was about to begin, he had done his homework for college and now he just had to verify it with Mr Smith. Den went to the freezer and picked up a can of Red Bull from inside, he had finally gotten sober and had replaced his collection of Jack Daniels for energy drinks and protein shakes, and occasionally as he called it, milkshakes.
He was about to be lost in his flurry of thoughts when his phone beeped and he saw that Mr Smith had sent the joining GMeet link in the WhatsApp group.
For context, Den had been taken to the hospital and then to the rehab by Zach who now visited him every day and who also had become his gym bro, Den relished the physical exhaustion that gym brought with itself. He had to apply ointments on his cigarette burns everyday, he even now sometimes had the urge to smoke weed but he didn't pay heed to it, and when he did, he would obsessively smoke for sometime before hating the feeling and putting the blunt out.

He started speaking to Den about the program he had sent before class, he had liked his approach but it was too many lines of code that's what he felt and he asked him to use library functions more. Den had finished talking when the sweet voice of a girl asked Mr Smith, "But sir, can we not use the String Tokenizer object that you'd taught us in this case?", "Of course Ella", Mr Smith replied, "You can do just that or employ the classical method of using a String or a String array like Denezius has done." Den felt mesmerized but then suddenly he shook his head, what the fuck was happening, was he falling in love, AGAIN? He shuddered, after Triny's incident, was it even possible for him to love anymore?
After class he went to the group, tapped on Ella's contact and he went to her DM. They had talked a bit about a program which she had done in a different manner than him, Den looked at the chat wallpaper, she was really so beautiful, one time she had posted on her pics in the status and he had taken a screenshot, he had even made it his lockscreen wallpaper, he was madly in love with her, Ella Williams. He just had this sick feeling inside his belly, whenever he saw her, she was lean, blonde and she wore glasses.
"So gorgeous, so elegant, with the Audrey Hepburn style of hair, you're a mermaid to me because I'm pretty sure that I can never persuade you to be my partner", Den muttered to himself. He had finally gotten admission in the University of Austin, Texas and was now pursuing a BS major under professor Goldstein on Computing Physics. He did chores to support him, like he had taken up content writing, his LinkedIn profile was flooded with requests, but he only took up high paying clients.
Denezius woke up late on April 16th. He looked in the mirror and said while yawning, "Happy birthday Denmageddon, now get a move on, or you'll be late for college."
