Remembering Mother’s Cooking
It was on a Friday afternoon Calvin, Catherine, and aunt Maylou was sitting in the living room remembering the good days when their mothers use to cook real good for them. I remember my mother use to fry pork chops, cornpone, and mushrooms for me and my siblings when we were little this is how she made it okay my mother would bathe the pork chops in vinegar then she will cover them with flour, and put the pork chops in a frying pan on the stove burner, she made sure the cornpone was buttery and soft, then she will make sure she boiled the mushrooms real good they be so soft sometimes she makes them salty but mostly she be real light with the salt said Catherine.
