~Anticipation~....chapter 2
As she came downstairs, her mum served her breakfast. Ada switched a news channel in the television which was uselessly telecasting some numerology episode which was probably her mum's choice. Having completed her breakfast she left for the college.
She found her friend Diya waiting at the gate for her.
"Hi diya"
"Keep it with yourself. Do you have any idea how late we are? "
"Sorry yaar! There was an accident on my way and it took too long for police men to clear the traffic. Okay come on now, let's get in. "
Walking towards the classroom diya asked, "what accident? "
"I don't know."
"Where? "
"Sharon's road! "
"What? then it was not an accident! "
" Ahh. stop it Diya.... I am done with all these new murder stories spreading all over our town. Even you believe all these stuffs? "
"Everyone does! "
"Not me though "
"Its well and best to stay informed about what's happening in our town even if you don't believe them"
"Not now Diya please. We'll talk about this during lunch break."
"You always do this."
"Because I want to end these kind of conversations"
"Ok fine yaar! " finished Diya.
Ada made a facial expression as if she felt peace.
Both walked inside the classroom.
In less than 2 hours their forenoon session was over and left for canteen. They ordered a vegetarian meal and settled on a table.
Ada started, "the food is really good, isn't it? "
"mm" replied Diya.
"Give me your potatoes probably you won't have them. "
"here" says Diya offering her potatoes to Ada. Ada knew what she wanted so she started the topic again, "Okay fine yaar! I know what you wish to talk about. Start it, I'm ready." said Ada
"What would I talk to you about the mysteries happening around in our town? You certainly know nothing about them, do you? "
"I don't! "
"Hmm then? "
"You tell me what's going on. Tell me what interests you about these mysterious events. Let me see if they really interest me...Go on."
Diya began.
