There's no need to pretend that I don't know him. Drama is what I hate the most.

I refocused myself on my work and grabbed his garnier to scanned it. I put it inside a small paper bag, but didn't give it to him yet.

He should pay first.

"This would be $3.39, sir."

He unexpectedly laughed.

"So that means you remember me!" he said. His smile lingered on his face for a second, then it faded when he raised his eyebrows. "There's no, 'Oh yeah! I remembered you...vaguely haha', atleast?" he asked while trying to imitate a girl's voice.

I tried hard not to roll my eyes. "Anything else, sir?" I asked and waited for him to give his pay.

"Sir? Don't call me that, silly! Haha!"

Maybe he expected me to laugh too. But I didn't.

So he's looking at me like he finally realized that I will not ride on him. He nodded several times and instead of paying, he instead put another 3 items on the counter and crossed his arms. "So, did my father look for me," he asked.

I unintentionally looked at him with a pitiful yet mocking smile on my face. I just couldn't help myself because I was surprised with his question. Is that why he's so casual and feeling close to me? I remembered how he reasoned out himself too much while his outside the resto bar that night. Now, he really looks like a hopeful child, who's begging hard to get his parent's attention. I didn't answer him though and just scanned all the other items he gave me.

"$7.04, sir," I said to him. "Would this be all sir," I asked him. Just to make sure he gets all of what he needs.

He's still looking me in the eye then looked down for a moment. I saw him grin though and I don't know what's the meaning of it. He looked up and looked for another item, a chewing gum. He put one pack on the counter.

"Come on! That's not that hard to answer. So did he look for me," he asked again.
