The Voice part 4
nd February 2002:
I couldn't believe I was turning 22 this year. "Oh my God, thank you for all the presents, guys! I loved all
of them. But don't forget, today we have our performance!" I exclaimed.
Aadvita added, "Aaj Hrithik aur Roshan dono nachenge!!"
Lakhavni said, "I don't know why, but I feel a little nervous. I hope everything goes well."
It was Saturday, so in the morning, we went to the temple, Shiv Mandir. I always felt so calm and
uplifted when I worshiped my favorite lord, Lord Shiva.
"Aum Tryambakam yajaamahe sugandhim pushtivardhanam Urvaarukamiva bandhanaanmrityormuksheeya maamritaat,"
I chanted. I felt a sudden wave of light when my eyes were closed. This was something that happened
when something bad was going to happen. I hoped nothing would go wrong.
Afterwards, we went for lunch with the whole family and friends, but we were in a hurry for our
performance.
At the college:
Lakhvani exclaimed, "We all look so fab, oh my God!"
Aadvita added, "Yeah, the costumes match perfectly. Hey Kavisha, you look worried. Kuchh hua kya?"
"Nahi yaar, lekin... I have been feeling since morning that something is going to happen," I confessed. I
was wearing my favorite pendant, which usually made me feel better.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine," assured my team mates.
The anchor announced, "Here comes the sensational girl gang! Please welcome all the members:
Kavisha, Lakhavni, Aadvita..."
After our performance, Hrithik Roshan praised us, saying, "Wow, girls, that was fantastic! You all should
do a music video with me if you ladies are free!"
Lakhavni almost fainted from the overwhelming appreciation we received. But little did we know that
someone had their eye on us.
As we were heading back to the changing room, my inner voice warned, "Don't turn."
But I couldn't resist, and I turned reluctantly.
Kavisha, you need to come with us," a voice said, pulling my attention. it was Rajveer in uniform.
In the police station:
I was confused and worried. "Why am I here? What have I done?"
Rajveer didn't show any softness on his face. He asked, "Where were you on 6th January?"
I tried to explain, "I had an accident on that day. I slipped from the balcony, and..."
But he interrupted me, accusing, "And you came to the college and killed Sayma."
I was shocked, "What the hell are you talking about? Main almost marne wali thi, aur uss halat mein kisi
ka murder karti?"
He showed me CCTV footage. It was blurry and dark, but at the crime scene, they had found a green
earring.
I protested, "There could be the same earring anywhere! Main hi kaise..."
Rajveer interrupted, "The earring had initials, because I had given it to you!"
I was bewildered, "Rajveer, believe me, I haven't done anything!" But my voice echoed, "It's your time to
say goodbye!"
Suddenly, I wasn't in the police station anymore; I was somewhere else, blindfolded. Someone was
screaming, and I felt a sharp pain in my neck. I struggled to escape, but it was futile. The voice said,
"Save your friend if you can. I won't make your birthday your death day, but aaj nahi bachegi, Aadvita!"
I woke up, my eyes were teary, there was shock, fear and confusion, the first thing my eyes searched
was Aadvita, I screamed Aadvita, kahan hai? Call her, uski jaan ko khatra hai, please let me go rajveer,
please, I was crying. Loosing someone is worse than dying.
Rajveer was just staring at me, but soon he held me in his arms, I was confused but I felt as safe as never
before.
Mujhe tumpe yakeen hai, maine wo sb dekha jo tumne dekha , maybe we because we share the same
pendant and same heart.
Thank you Rajveer, but abhi we need to find my friend.
Aadvita’s room hostel 152:
I was just shouting her name Aadvita where are you? Please don’t be dead yet, hey bhagwan
Rajveer was looking at me as if maine uske email ka password bol diya ho!
And then I saw her, limply lying under her bed, her hand it had marks and someone actually inscribed on
her hand brutally, 2 KS.
Mai jinda hun and don’t worry she won’t ever return now, said Aadvita.
We rushed to the hospital, before she lost her ability to breathe.
