Heightened Emotions
Heightened emotions, I find solace to express,
A verse that speaks of patience, a gentle heart's caress.
For anger may consume us, like a raging, fiery blaze,
But in its reckless fury, compassion slips away.

It's true, frustration simmers, like a tempest swirling wild,
But cruelty, my dear friend, is not the rightful child.
For in the depths of anger, when darkness clouds the soul,
We must seek understanding to keep our hearts whole.

Just because you're angry, the world does not deserve your spite,
Your words can cut like daggers, leaving scars upon the night.
The pain you may be feeling, it does not grant you the right,
To unleash your fury, and shroud it in the name of might.

Remember, in our anger, we're still tethered to the light,
A kindness persevering, even when we're filled with fight.
For in the midst of chaos, love can be our saving grace,
A balm to heal the wounds, that anger seeks to efface.

So let your words be tempered, let compassion guide your way,
And do not let the demons unravel what you wish to say.
For though the anger's present, it need not bring you down,
Embrace the power softly, and let understanding drown.

Emotions are complex, like an ever-changing tide,
But cruelty need not follow, as we navigate the ride.
Empathy can guide us, through the storms we might endure,
And remind us that compassion is the essence, pure and sure.

Just because you’re angry, doesn't mean you must be cruel,
For empathy can flourish, taming anger's heated fuel.
In times of heightened emotions, let us rise above the fray,
And wield the power of kindness, in all we do and say.
