Part 1
This story begins with college times, when Karan meets his friends in the college canteen after attending class. They all gather, have fun, chill, laugh, and talk with each other. They were all very happy as their exams had gotten over. Karan meets his friends named Rahul, Anjali, Priya, Sagar, Sunny, and Divya. Karan says, 'Anjali, let's go out somewhere; after a long time, we are free from exams.' Everyone thinks and plans where to go. Later, Karan decides we must go to Hotels Grandious, books a room, and stays for a week to chill, rest, have fun, and enjoy. Everyone gets ready, and in this, Priya says, 'What a great idea!' Later, they all go back to their work, meet in the evening, and get ready for Hotels Grandious.
Subsequently, Karan entered his father's office and formally requested permission to take a vehicle, as he and his friends had decided to embark on a week-long road trip. His father responded affirmatively, indicating his trust in Karan as his son. However, he advised Karan to drive cautiously and to be mindful while on the road. His father granted his consent, enabling Karan to proceed with the use of the vehicle. Thus, with his father’s approval, Karan began his journey.
Karan arrived at the designated location where his friends were waiting for him. Upon his arrival, all individuals placed their luggage in the vehicle and settled in comfortably. Subsequently, Karan commenced driving the car.
Sagar stated, “When you grow fatigued, I shall assume the responsibility of driving for you.” Consequently, they proceeded contentedly along the roadway, laughing, relaxing, engaging in enjoyable activities, and playing games within the vehicle. They shared jokes amongst themselves. Upon reaching the highway, Karan, feeling fatigued, allowed Sagar to take over the driving, during which Sagar increased the music volume. Everyone indulged in the music, participating in singing and reveling as they continued their journey.
Subsequently, while traversing the highway, they encountered a puncture in the vehicle’s tires. They paused for a few moments as Karan and Sagar attended to the car, becoming engrossed in the repair efforts; however, they were unable to get it started, which caused frustration among the group, especially given the late hour of approximately 2:00 AM. During this time, the vehicle suffered a puncture. The female passengers expressed apprehension due to the darkness surrounding the road and the wooded areas nearby. At around 2:00 AM, with no one in proximity, Divya looked out the window of the vehicle and observed in the distance what appeared to be a small cottage.
Divya made the decision to spend the night at the cottage. She ensured that everyone was prepared for this change and led the group toward the cottage. They all proceeded to enter the house, which everyone seemed to appreciate. However, Divya noticed that Anjali was standing outside the door. Concerned for her, Divya stepped outside to bring her in, as Anjali appeared frightened and uncomfortable, sensing a negative presence. Despite Anjali's urging for the group to consider an alternative location, her concerns went unacknowledged. Divya then addressed the situation, explaining that they faced difficulties and it was essential for them to stay the night; they could repair their car in the morning and then proceed to the Grandious Hotel.
