China Doll : Chapter one
Sam brushed though his long, slick hair.
He didn't like having long hair, but his mother insisted on it.
Sighing, he pushed the door open from his bedroom.
His pitch black eye with the only color of his his red iris scanned the room. His eye didn't even reflect the light.
He had to stay in the house all the time because of it. So no one would be afraid, or so he wouldn't be linched from people thinking he was some kind of demon.
When his father say him walk into the kitchen, he frowned from where he sat at the table.
"Morning, Father."
No response, only some kind of grunt.
His mother walked to him and kissed his forehead. "Morning, baby."
His mother was his only friend.
And in a way, his only parent.
His father rose from the table as Sam sat down. "I have to go to work." He mumbled, throwing a used napkin on the table.
He rolled his eyes. Of course he did. He had to go to the saloon and maybe to some work intern drinks. But actual work? He probably didn't even know the meaning of that.
His mom put food in front of him, but he wasn't hungry anymore, he had lost his appetite the moment he say his father.
Once the door closed behind his father, his mother sat infront of him. "Um, I have got a job." She smiled weakly. "I got it yesterday when I was out. I will be back in a fee hours since I can only work while your father is away. Love you, baby."
He frowned. He wasn't sure he liked the idea of his mother having a job. Expeshualy behind his father's back.
What if he finds out?
"L-l-love you too, ma."
