Several days passed since the night she realized the magic was gone. She could no longer hear Noah's thoughts, but that hadn't changed how she felt about him.
Lia: But it is more challenging now that I don't know everything he's thinking. but I feel this is good for us. After all the best relationships are built on trust. And now I have no choice but to trust his feelings for me. Clover had said that privacy is important. It's why her cousin lost her girlfriend. And she's right. She chose an elegant fancy dress.

She quickly rose up and double checked the mirror to make sure she was ready. A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door, so she hurried over to open it.

Noah leaned down and kissed her cheek.
Lia: I wasn't expecting you so early!
Noah: Well, I thought we could spend a little alone time together before we left for the banquet. I also thought you might be a little nervouse with this being you first awards banquet, so I wanted to make sure you were ok!

Noah wrapped his arms around her waist and she leaned into him

Suddenly, she looked up and saw a stunning women walking towards her and Noah.

After meeting several more possible future partners, the evening was almost over.
Lia: Phew. This has been fun, but it's been a long night!
Noah: Hey, beautiful. The night's almost over, but we're spent most of it introducing you to everyone. I want some time with you to myself. How about a dance, my love?

In a sweeping motion, Noah took her hand as he pulled her close, his other hand guiding the small of her back. He held her closely as he moved her effortlessly around the dance floor.
Everyone disappeared as Noah spun her to the music, the lights were dazzling as she and Noah danced.
Noah: I love you Lia!

As the song ended, Noah leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek. As the party came to an end, she and Noah prepared to leave. But on her way out, Bianca's manager came over to her.
Bianca's manager: Mr. Kason, do you think you could come with me for a moment?
Noah: Of course!
Noah took Lia by the hand and prepared to follow the manager.
Bianca's manager: Actually, Mr. Kason, if you don't mind, I need to speak with you privatly!

Noah looked over at Lia and she nodded, letting him know she was ok. He hesitated for a moment, but quickly followed the manager around the corner.

As she craned her neck to try and see where Noah may have gone, a stranger walked up to her.
Strange guy: Well, hello there gorgeous!

Strange guy: I know this may seem little forward, but you are beautiful. Have you ever thought of being in the movies? I'm a director in the film industry and I think you have the look!

She waited several minutes, but Noah didn't reply. She called herself a cab and managed to make it home safely. But Noah never texted her back. The next morning, she was awakened by the sound of her phone. She reached over and shut off the alarm, but her phone continued beeping.

She unlocked her phone and saw several messages from Clover.
