What will you call him?
Walking through the wet lanes of a his street at dusk ,with cold whiffs shaking his weak body ,he was keenly looking around to prevent being spotted. He was walking with the keys of his shop gripped firmly but his steps seemed heavy to him that is how you feel when you are scared ,worried and broken, yet he managed to reach his destiny ,his shop.It made his lashes soaked after seeing his shop desolated, covered with dust ,and he started sweeping the dust away but he kept looking around to prevent to be seen .After entering the shop he lit the light ,started putting things in order and kept the shatter of his shop half closed and sat outside with hopefull eyes.He kept waiting for customers or i can say some money .He was scared of being spotted by officers as they might beat him or seal his only earning shop, yet he dared to keep waiting with hope.
It has been a month since the government has imposed lockdown because of corona and all his savings are almost spent,he has no other source of income to prevent his family from starving. His children like others demand for toys, chocolates and he always fullfilled them no matter how he managed. They demand for mobile phonr for their online classes but no one except he knows how he managed that, indeed parents can do anything for the sake of their child.
Now what will you call him ignorant, selfish or a miscreant who is breaking laws and is making the pandemic much worse. No! he is a helpless father ,a sole earner of his family .He came out from his safe ,cosy home not for greed but for his need.He cannot bear his family to starve ,he has no other option left.
The present situation is challenging for all of us and it is our duty to look after each other ,if Allah has made you well off ,he has kept a share for your neighbour ,your relative in it and he is watching you how will you spent it ,indeed we have to give answer to every breath we take every penny we spent.Government is doing everything to control the spread of the deadly virus ,but not paying any attention to why people are coming out to risk their life ,instead of understanding they are using voilance.Just imagine ,how the world would be if every person started taking care of the needy around him ,or the government will provide them with the basic on there doorstep ,believe me there will be no need of voilance ,no need of ristriction ,as there will be no reason for coming out.
Hepling the needy is indeed a worship ,the money you will spent with good intention will be saved in your account for the day of judgement ,and that is what is the real wealth.
