After a while I wasn't so lucky. Nehemiah began to have mental health issues, when he came to my 8th grade graduation, I could tell something was off. It was like his sweet soul left his body and he would stare into space like he wasn't apart of this world.

I tried to pretend like nothing was wrong although I could feel a change in energy around me. I'm not even sure if he was aware what was going on but he had this terrified look in his eyes that he tried to hide with a smile. We still continued on with our relationship, going places together.

He seemed a little more content when he was with me, I noticed his family seemed a bit more stressed but I ignored it. I wanted to support him through everything even the things he wasn't telling me.
