the girl who cried heartbreaker.
It was a cold, dark november night. I drove over to her house since she texted me to come over. When I got over there I went over to the door and knocked. No answer.

“Hello?” I said kindly.

No answer, again. I wiggled the door knob ever so slowly and realized the door was unlocked the whole time. When I pushed the door open the door made a sudden creek noise and then silence. I then saw her in the kitchen. Her shadow was showing towards me. I slowly walked towards the shadow and called her name out, it felt like I’m calling out a ghost.

“You there?” I said nonchalantly.

I saw she was cleaning a kitchen knife which I found weird. she never did that before.

“Oh hey come into the kitchen” she said slowly.

I wanted to do what I was told. But something told me not to. But, I did anyway.

As I slowly started walking into the kitchen, the floor boards creeking ever so slightly when I was walking. I reached to the door. And she stared right into my eyes. Those used to be nice blue eyes that I fell in love with turned cold and dark now.

“So how are you?” she said looking down at the knife.

“I’m good,thanks” I said.

“Mmh” she said.

She kept cleaning the knife even though it looked pretty clean. So, I decided to ask her about it.

“Why are you cleaning that when it’s already clean..?” I said under my breath.

She gave me a hard cold look. And in that same flash second she caught me off guard. And, stabbed me right in the heart. I screamed and ran out the door. And ran into the woods. I was still catching my breath when I saw my mom texted me.

“Everything Okay?” It read.

I wanted to say no but I just pretended everything was in fact, okay.

“Yeah everything’s fine” I texted back.

It was about 40 degrees and walked over from her house to the hospital by the time I got there I collapsed on the floor right by the emergency room. I woke up in a hospital bed.

“What happened?” My mom said in a whisper.

“I don’t remember” I said.

I should’ve told her but of course, I still felt remorseful towards her so I didn’t and refused to tell anyone what REALLY happened that night.

I then saw a couple of months later her Instagram. She had so many followers over 5,000 people comment on her posts calling her natural beauty, talent, and everything in between. Nobody really knew the her I saw that night. But, I still play it off till this day. Maybe one day they’ll see.
