Chapter 3
I had too much adrenaline to sleep that night. Just replaying everything in my head, like watching a movie over and over again. Since, I still couldn't sleep, I decided to go see the prey Dagon brought back. I carefully creeped down the stairs, and flicked on the light in my workshop. He layed down on the cage placed in the far left corner of my workshop. I creeped over to him, and kneeled down next to him, looking at his features. He had brown hair like from tree bark, and his skin looked permanently tanned. Suddenly, he grabbed the cage's bars, making me jump back. He weakly pulled himself up, and looked up at me with blue eyes. "Who...are you?" he said with a horsed voice. I was surprised he talked, I couldn't say anything back to him. "Hey. Who are you?" he repeated. I shook from my shocked trance. "Ah, who are you?" I quickly said. "I believe, I asked you first." he said back. I was taken aback by his back talk. Yet, I was also impressed. "I'm one of the girls who brought you here." I said intimidating. He gave me a shocked look, then looked in thought. "You're not the girl that came into my house." he said quietly. "What?" I asked, making him look up at me again. "You just, don't look like the girl who came into my house." he said. "Yes, well, that's my sister." I said. He opened his mouth, but then the door opened stopping him from saying anymore. "Tessa, you down here?" from the staircase, stood Dagon and trailing her, Lyra. "Right here." I said now standing next to my instruments. "What's going on down here?" Dagon asked walking twords me. "I'm just cleaning my instruments. They need to be prepped perfect for when we get a buyer for him." I said pointing my scalpel at the boy. "Good thinking." She said impressed. "Anyways." I set the scalpel down, "Why are you guys down here?" I asked. "Did you seriously forget?" She asked mockingly offended. I looked over at Lyra, who just shook her head disappointed, making me look back at Dagon. "It's alcohol night!" she exclaimed.
