She turned to check her phone for the time, any minute now.
She hoped she didn't fall asleep again.
She hasn't seen or heard her beloved in a few days and it drove her up the walls but tonight, tonight she was going to hear his husky and deep voice that always unnerved her.
She felt her skin erupt with goosebumps at the thought of him.
When her ring tone filled the room, she looked down to find his name on her screen, she almost stopped breathing.
She pressed the green button and brought the phone to her ear.
Waited for his voice to fill her ears.
"Princess?" He called out, his voice sounding tired but elevated.
She released a breath she didn't know she was holding, "Hi,"
He chuckled, "What do I keep telling you about answering the phone and not saying anything?"
"That I shouldn't do it," I answered biting my lip.
"Yes, don't do it..." He said, "God I miss you so much, tell me how have you been? Are you okay? How has work been?"
"I've been fine, work is okay we actually have this new student who is from Port Elizabeth...
