The big win
In Guyana, winning the lottery is a big thing. Everybody wants to win but sadly there could only be one winner.
My aunt Jenny, buys lottery tickets everyday and always tell my mom and I that she will win and it will change our life.
Unfortunately everytime the winning lottery numbers are called, my aunt never wins. Eventually aunt Jenny decided that she's gonna stop spending her money on lottery tickets since she never won.
Aunt Jenny then decided that she is gonna apply for a job since my mom couldn't pay the bills alone.
A few hours after Aunt Jenny applied for a job, the telephone rang. When Aunt Jenny got off the telephone, she told my mom and I that she has an interview in the morning.
Early the next day, aunt jenny left for her interview. An hour after the interview, aunt jenny called us saying how she had gotten the job and that she was heading in town to go buy some clothing.
As aunt jenny was walking around town, she passed the lottery shop. As soons as she walked passed the shop, she started to remember all the memories of when she used to buy tickets and how she was obsessed with winning.
Aunt Jenny then realised that she missed playing lottery and turned back and went and purchased a ticket. When she got home she waited for the game to start. As the game started she kept watching the numbers and prayed to god to help her win.The lottery numbers were all shown and aunt jenny looked at the ticket in her hand. She read it once, then twice!She wasn't imagining it - Omg She had won the lottery! Aunt jenny was so amazed and couldn't believe it, she called my mom and I and we all got excited. Indeed that is gonna change our lives.
