Winter - Blizzard
Winds severely carried Jeanne's hair, when white flakes zoomed from above. A blizzard.

"It came so suddenly! What do we do!?"

She screamed with her lungs, hoping each word was carried through the noise... It came so abrupt, disturbing the two while in harvest. It was thanks to Cannes, they finished before it hit. For now, they hoped the crops would stay fresh indoors.

"Hold my hand!" Cannes said holding out his hands. As the two bravely plowed through the knee drop foot snow. Finally... The door creaked before the snow fell... They made it, in one piece inside the log house.

Inside then, a child's voice in a crib cried along the blizzard. They looked at each other, and smiled with contempt and relief.

"Quick!" Both of them laughed gladly. They finally had the break they deserved for the longest time. It was tiring being an adult, but it isn't tiring watching your wife nursing your boy to become one of their own.

"My husband?" His wife looked at him, seemingly very happy back outside.

"Yes, My love?"

"Who in Urd, gave you the idea for that monstrosity?" Cannes looked at what she was pointing. It was the long house.

A long strip of metal housing nearly 30 acres of land. With clearly expandable rooftops for all of the plants, safe from every weather condition. It never ceases to amaze her what might come to his mind the next time they will encounter a problem firsthand.

Maybe something in the lines of a homemade wagon? If that's so, she would be the happiest woman in her life.

But for now, she will continue looking at his pristine face. The charming, delicate face gently riding her arms.

"Anymore than this will turn into a hurricane..."

White like the snow outside, violently stroking the glass. She smiled for a brief moment, which later vanished. As the thought came through her mind.

Her tears fell to the boy's face, small and unknowing. Wide eyes, met with hers. She was smiling, the boy was smiling.

The boy would later turn into a man, leaving them behind. Making friends along his way without them..

But worse of all, he wouldn't be able to see his full family. Without ever visiting a grave. This was painful for the mother.

But she smiled, realizing it's better to live in the present. Before fretting over the future..

Yes... It is indeed better...
