Hover cars glided through the sky, their neon lights almost blinding on their night flights. Homes were towering buildings, reaching ever upwards with the help of robotic builders. Everywhere the traveller looked, they saw a future they could hardly comprehend.
It was a complicated world full of advances and opportunities, but it was also a world of danger and confusion. Everywhere the time traveller went, people moved forward through their lives in a rush- no one paused to take in the moment or appreciate what was around them. Everyone was connected but somehow even more disconnected, obsessed with newsfeeds and notifications but in reality living in a semi-vacuum.
