I see you in a blur 5
Rebecca's Pov

“I'm out girls” Dad shouted from the sitting room. Dad's voice from the living room aroused me from sleep.

“Bye Dad, love you” I heard Callie say. I lifted my head a little and saw Callie using her phone on her bed.

“Love you too” and I heard the door open and close.

“Morning sleepy head” She greeted

“Morning sis”

“Go get ready”

I got up from the bed and went to brush my teeth. I remembered my note for the day's preaching lying on the table, I grabbed it sat on my bed and reached for my glasses which were about an arm's length and wore it.

“Not much difference” I muttered to myself and grabbed my magnifying lens and briefly went through my notes. “Go take your bath, Becca”

“Yeah Yeah” I looked at the quote that stood out to me, an Indian movie I had recently seen. The reference was perfect for my preaching. I closed the note and smiled to myself, feeling proud and rushed to take my bath.

10 minutes later

I checked the time, and it was quarter past six. I wore my flats and picked the belt of my dress and I fastened it on. Likewise, I grabbed my notes, Bible and put it in my bag.

“Ready for your hair and makeup?”

“You bet I am sis”

The privileges of having a cosmetologist as an older sister; Callie was five years older than me, and she was the best sister ever. She took care of me ever since mom left. The sad thing was that she wasn't always around, she came during the weekend as she worked in the city.

“Well then, do have a sit, my customer” She said with a mock bow.

30 minutes later

“And done”

“Thanks Callie”

“Do you think he'd be fine?, he's gone through a lot” Callie asked

“Who?, Noah?”

She nodded in affirmation

“If losing his fiancée on his wedding day is a lot, then he's gone through a lot” I said feeling sorry for him, that must have been difficult.

“I hope he's okay though, I don't know him as such, but I can't help but feel bad for him”

“Yeah, enough of the pity party, we're running late” I said checking the time on the big clock on the wall. Dad was considerate on buying such a big one for me.

“Let's go, let me grab my car keys”

“Where in the world is my glasses” I looked closely on my desk and “Found it”

“It doesn't help much, just take your magnifying lens”

“I'd take both”I said, grabbing the lens.

“Let's go then”
