I am very spiritual but Im not religous at all...having said that, the topic of whether God exist has came up in conversations throughout my lifetime. And it usually comes up in the form of this question.
" If God exists, why would he allow horrible things to happen in the world, like murder, rape, torture, pedophilia, etc. ?" And I could never find the answer to that question and at times, Id wondered that very same thing. After searching deep within my soul I found the simple truth that explains why God allows horrible things to happen in the world.
And so I put it like this...
" If you had to pick from these two options, which one would you choose?

FIRST OPTION : To live an entire life that is completely void of any harm or danger ever coming to you.
or
SECOND OPTION: To have FREE WILL your entire life

but you can only choose one or the other, since they cannot exist simultaneously because they cancel each other out. Which one would you choose?
And of course, they always choose Option two: FREE WILL.
And thats when I hit them with my original quote ( and by the way, the reason I wrote it) which is...well...
" Unfortunately, FREE WILL doesnt descriminate"
God isnt the reason horrible things happen, we are...
