It was a cold morning, I sat in my living room watching TV.
For sometime there has been some unusual killings and blood shed in the city making it uncomfortable for people.
No more night walks or clubbing because you'd never know what's trailing behind you waiting to devour you.
Today's headline is of a student, Luther Hemlock, while strolling out last night, he was bitten by an unknown creature, though he isn't dead yet but there are still some chances of surviving the bite.
I switched off the TV not wanting to watch anymore of it.
"oh my God, another killing?" my sis Lenora asked
"No Lenora, just an injury, or a bite actually"
"I'm getting more scared with every passing second, mom! let's relocate please"she cried out
My mom who was in the bathroom replied:
"we'll have to speak to your father first"
I left them there and went to my room.
I fell on my bed and stared at the ceiling. For some weeks, I've been waiting for my admission letter into college, maybe I am not qualified enough for it, but I'll keep trying to get into other colleges.
soon sleep enveloped me

My body was shaking vigorously while I slept. I managed to open my eyes
"Lenora!"
"Wake up sis, you've been sleeping for hours"
she was hovering above me
"No I wanna sleep some more"
"if you say so, I might have to reject your admission letter"
I shot my eyes open
"What?!"
"Yeah sis, your admission letter has arrived" she squealed excitedly
"Stop joking around Lenora"
She frowned
"You need proof, you've been accepted at Raven High School"
"No way!, I'm not fucking going there, never!"
she was confused
"Why?"
