WHERE PASTRIES MEET ANGRY GODDESSES

Ada found herself in tune with her new hostage's job. The hostage, Eri had come to this new and vast island inhabited by very strange people. The island itself was a sight to behold with vast forests, high blue white mountains and fast flowing rivers the sight was an exceptional one.

The smell of the berry cake she was baking over the make shift stove assaulted her nostrils. She gasped, delighted at the smell once again. The kitchen here was the hostage's safe place, being a cook for her former crew before they came upon this island, it was easy to see how her skills had come to be.

Ada turned, looking at the board coated with flours, the stained whisk and some other bowls. She sighed, brushing against her flour stained apron. She stepped away, feeling her sandals sticking to something. She pulled it harshly, her body jerking back as a result. The moss coated the bottom, green against the brown of the floor.

She sighed, walking past the counters before heading for a chair at the other end. It was nestled right beside a table. Ada relaxed on the wall, drowsiness pulling at her eyelids. The door at the corner flew open, children clothed in identical tunics running inside. Their chatter bounced around, further jolting Ada out of her reverie.

"Eri," they all called, running towards her. Ada winced, her ears aching tremendously. Their features were each starkly different, the only similarity being the cerulean eyes each had. Another woman ran in, her body racking of exertion.

"I'm so sorry Eri." She mumumured apologetically, leading the loud and bubbling children out. Ada remembered her previous reality, a rather quiet one at that.

Then she remembered every thing else, the tears she must have caused, the pain inflicted and the ties broken. Her head throbbed, her heart aching. Her breath caught in her throat, dots splotching her vision. Screams of the dead rippled in her mind. The world spun, guilt twisting her insides. She ran to the outside, pushing past the cotton linen that served as the back door.

The smell of faeces and urine crawled up her nose, a small pit stood at the centre of the backyard. She ran towards it, the smell becoming concentrated. Disgust crept up her throat as she threw up, vomit piling out into the stinky pit. She continued on, her nose wrinkling with her twisting stomach.

She jerked out, gasping as she continued to relieve the terrible things she had done. Her blood curled, bubbling up with a large disgust for the womanhood. Disgust for the tribunal of true goddesses for blessing them with this power. She had heard of people that had thought of them in such ways, they were usually thrown into the pit of misery. Right now she didn't care.

The world began to tremble, the sky ripping apart. A black blotch appeared that stained the yellow skies, it began to open, growing wider with a spiralling interior that pulsed with a magic so dark and powerful. Purple tendrils shifted out, bugging the sky with icy chills. The air grew to a frigid temperature, freezing the former resolve Ada had.

Fear stirred within her, painting her black canvas in a shade of fear. Snow coated the earth, the strong currents of the chilly air uprooting trees. She swallowed, her heart in her throat. The tribunal of goddesses had always been known not just for their iron hand but the extent of the devastating power they had over many other realms.

The world seemed to be in chaos around her while she remained in one piece save for the chilly air that filled her with fear. Screams tore through the air as lightning touched a hut in the distance. It rose up in flames, yellow tendrils eating away at the muddy surface. Smoke billowed up to the sky, the mural of colors appearing as a chaotic scene.

Then the tribunal came. They came down from the portal in sync, floating down below with an ethereal grace with deadly intent. Their bodies were completely white, in which black inklings drew down in different patterns. Their usually bright glow was dimmed to allow the mortal that had angered them to see.

Their eyes were red, a blazing color of anger. A cloud of mist shrouded their lower halves. as they stopped, looking down at Ada. She recoiled under their gaze.

"You choose to defy us." Their voices boomed over the chaos. Ada shuddered, the nipping cold of their gaze alone sending goosebumps down the length of her body. She looked away from them, turning to the chaos that ringed the environment. Half of the trees and huts in sight had uprooted, the mass of flames overwhelming them. Screams punctuated the state of despair.

Her heart sank. She reached out of her confines, feeling a sharp jolt of pain as she did. She retracted her fingers, holding them to her chest.

"They did nothing to you." Ada screamed, her heart aghast at the pain that sunk into her.

"To be apart of the womanhood, you must be ruthless and unloving. A transverser wrecks havoc between lives, worlds and realms. The race we built are feared for the damage they can cause. I am glad we have finally come to terms, girls whom are our least esteemed sister, The Woman birthed must be subdued by this training because her fragile essence carries on in her creations. You are to be apart of one of the most powerful race and here you worry about pitiful humans." Ada's body trembled, her breathing hitched.

"We give you one more chance to be ruthless, to survive and act like a true transverser." Her conscious floated away, the black bob rising from Eri's body. She gasped, Eri's body struck by lightning. It later turned back to ashes.

"If you fail to do this, your soul will be tormented in the pit of misery for all eternity."
