Waking up to the soft essence of the sunlight hitting the small of my neck gave me a joy that I thought would be inevitable/unattainable at one point in life. After my late night phone call I decided to call it a night. Martha had some pretty good news, she had spoken with a friend and was able to get me a job interview with one of the local nursing homes! Deep down I never imagined working in any form of health care. I remember a time when my daughters father consistently tried to get me to become a CNA and I was completely against even giving it a tenth of a thought, but know that times are a little ruff a girl has to put her big pants on and go for the gusto. Thank God for being in good with the bosses wife. Who knew that keeping a smile on your face and staying humble even when ur at your lowest of low could turn a dim light into a ray as powerful as the sun.

As I rolled over like a fat wet seal in my bed I embraced my appreciation for life.
