Trying its best to shine in the dark sky

Afraid...
Not knowing what to do
Trying its best to forget about the darkness around it
It shines brightly
It smiles
Acting like everything is fine
Yet not knowing that the darkness will take place soon
Counting the seconds that goes by
Not knowing that its last light will soon vanish
It tries to shine
It tries to smile
But all it can think about is the darkness slowly eating it way
It smiles with tears
It shines dimly
Thinking...
I won't make it
Its brightness is is gone
and its last words are
"Could I have been saved"
