On 28july2005, the day Emma Mokoena gave birth to a baby girl called Phelang Joyce Mokoena.I was given this names by my late grandfather who had the reason for giving me,the reason was My grandparents Jordan and Makhutsane had 10 children so they were dying everyday so my mother was so secretive,she hide her pregnancy from her parents and she wasn't a teenager,she was a 36 year woman who was a clerk at department of transport even my dad didn't know about the pregnancy.One day my grandmother from my father side had a dream about my mother's pregnancy so she told my father so asked my mother but she denied.At that time my mother and father were broken up.My cousin saw my mother's stomach big so she told my grandmother from my mother side but when they asked her she denied.When she was 7months pregnant she told her family but she didn't tell my father.On 27 July my mother was at the mall so she was in labour pain so she tried to call one of her family members but they didn't answer the phone lucky she saw my father so she told him everything.My mother was rushed to the hospital and on 28 July at 7pm she gave birth to a baby girl.My family was happy then my grandfather came he held me and called me Phelang Joyce.On 28 July 2004 his Third born daughter Joyce died then on 28 July 2005 I was born so the name Phelang means BE ALIVE the he gave me Joyce I was named after my aunt so My names tells my grandparents's children to be alive,I must be alive for them.Then on my father side I was named khesani that means thanks they gave me this name because I was born on 28 July the day my aunty was born the same day and the same time so I was named after my aunt khesani and we have lots of common things we like.THIS IS MY LIFE
