"It was my first job orientation; I was placed in a very good company called The Celestial.
I was appointed as Junior Manager, I was excited for my first day.
I left my house in a hurry, drove my car too fast as I was late.
As I reached my office at the 9th floor, they asked me to go into an orientation room where I would be meeting my trainer along with other new joiners.
I hurried through, colliding into someone on my way – by the way, I am the clumsy one – and that's the first time I met my one true love Maya, a man in his white shirt and a red tie; I was taken by his handsomeness.
I looked flushed; he noticed.
I said "sorry" and ran into the room.
He was a new joiner, just like me.
We were crowded at the entrance.
He stood out amidst familiarizing faces; my gaze drawn to his like gravity.
My eyes widened slightly as coworkers blurred into the background.
His eyes locked onto mine across the crowd.
"He walked towards me and his first words to me were: 'I've traveled galaxies for this moment... for you.' It was true, but I didn't know it yet; I felt an inexplicable shiver as his words hung in the air, coworkers' voices fading into murmurs. The orientation leader cleared her throat, attempting to regain everyone's attention. His eyes still locked on mine, he subtly mouthed: 'Not chance.'
The room around us melted further away.
The leader assigned seating, pointing me towards... the chair beside him.
