a happy red signal(pov part 3)
her POV:
I was late for college already. I jumped on a different auto this time, the cheapest transport in Mumbai, and was off to my college. But he was still not seen, he should have been following me by now. Maybe he finally gave up on me, huh boys. I was looking outside, the air blowing on my face, my hair pretty much all over the place when by chance, I saw him. Wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and messy hair. He was having Pani Puri in a chat stall. Then he saw me and maybe he realised that he was a little late this time, atleast that's what I think. I pretended not to care and looked ahead, trying real hard to hide that smile of mine. It was just too hard man, I was literally having a whole zoo in my stomach while trying so. The signal turned red. And he was pretty much dusting his hands to get on his scooty, to continue his usual antics to gain my attention. It had been going on for about a month now. And to his bad luck, his scooty wasn't starting. He tried kick starting it several times, just didn't work. And I gathered all my courage and took a very risky move. I paid the fare to the autodriver and walked up to him, confidently. Kick started it and sat on the scooty. Gawd he was smelling too good. Accelerated it thrice, the vroom vroom sound thrice I mean, and he jumped on it. Through the rear mirror saw that huge smile of his and I guess was the first time he ever blushed. He kept his hands on my shoulder, he was rather shivering, and I couldn't help but smile. I don't think he noticed that. For the first time, I wanted the signal to stay red forever.
his POV:
She is never late. We went to the same college, and I've never taken my eyes off her since the day I met her. And I pretty much had by-hearted her usual auto's number plate. And I, like a hawk, made sure that auto didn't ride past me. I really didn't want to miss seeing her even for a day. I had lost hope, completely. I went to a chat stall and ordered a Pani Puri. No better medicine than food. But my heart really didn't wanna give up. Meanwhile I also searched for her in all autos. Then I saw the exact same curls all over her face. Actually her hair kind of hid her face but I simply knew it was her. She wore a red kurti, black patiala, and oh how beautiful that nosering looked on her. But she didn't seem to care, well she was looking ahead. But I was a hopeless romantic, so I rushed to my scooty and tried switching it on. The signal turned red, thankfully. I kick started it, God knows how many times. Then I heard the same noise her slippers used to make when she walked down the corridor past my class. I looked up and saw her, walking towards me, with a little fear in her eyes. I swear to god, my heart literally skipped 3 beats. She pushed me aside, kick started it and sat on it. I was confused. She did the vroom vroom thing thrice, I knew it was my cue to get on the scooty. I was literally jumping inside. I smiled like a monkey. Am pretty sure she didn't notice that. I then gathered all my courage and took a very risky move. I placed my hands on her shoulders, confidently. I knew she smiled pretty hard, well her ears moved and that's how I knew it. I was happy she came a little late today.
