When and how did you first discover your passion for writing?

When I learned to read. ( I think reading and writing goes hand in hand anyway)
I've taught myself to read even before I started school and always loved to read stories and poems and also loved when we had to write stories and poems in school.
When I was 8 I had my first penpal and I'm keeping a diary since I'm 9. (I'm 41 now)
To this day I enjoy everything that has to do with writing - journaling, penpaling, writing short stories and poems.
