Through the Veil of Time II : The Mysterious Disappearance and Unforeseen Return
After I came home, I ran to my room. Then I put my bag on my table and opened it. "Ah? Where is it?" I searched my whole bag, but the new storybook wasn't there. "What happened? Did I miss it on the bus?" I questioned myself.

"Dear, your friend is calling you," mom called me. I went to the living room. "Here," mom gave me the phone and she left.

"Hello!" I said. But no one replied. "Hello!?" again I said. "Ah! Hello, hey. I'm Clara." Someone replied. "Clara?" I questioned. "Yes, don't you remember me?" she asked. "Ah, sorry. I can't remember," I told her. "Okay, you'll remember me later. But I want to know something from you," she told me. "Okay, ask," I said. "Are you a friend of John?" she asked. "Yes," I told her. "So, did he give you a storybook today?" she asked. "Yes," I said. "Okay, I need that book. Can you give it to me tomorrow?" she asked.

What am I to do? It was lost. If I told her, John would know about it and... Ah!?" My mind was fussing. "Hey, that book was given to me by him. So, why do you need it from me?" I asked. "You'll know," she laughed horribly. "Ah?" I said because I couldn't get what she said. No more replies. "Hello?" I said. She had declined the call.

"What's going on?" I asked myself. I went to the room to search for this book one more time. I couldn't find it. I went outdoors to relax my mind after a string of strange events.

I sat beneath the tree shade and looked at the infinite sky. "Did the clouds write secret letters for us?" my mind started talking. "I don't know. But sometimes they can be," I said to my mind. "Okay, what do you think about today?" my mind asked. "I don't know. It's like a dream for me," I told.

"Soba," mom called me. "Yes, I'm coming," I ran to the home. "Hey, why did you put your books in the bathroom? Don't do it again," she told me with a little anger. "Ah? What? Which book?" I whined. "Here," she gave me a book. I confused. That was the lost book. I stood as still as a statue. "Hey, what happened to you?" mom asked, amazed by my mood. "Ah?!" I awoke. "Okay, mom. I'll never do it again," I ran to the room.
