A wreck I can't Forget
#WritcoStoryPrompt10

The car swerved around the sharp mend giving a narrow miss to the on-coming bus. Hannah hit her head against the window. The world turned upside down for about two seconds before she came back to reality in a jolt that made her sick.
Her vision was blurry when she opened her eyes and it took another minute before she could move her hands enough to get out of her seat. She had a slight headache that she attributed to the crash. She couldn't get her nerves to calm down.
Hannah looks over at the passenger side where is friend Maya sat, she could see bleeding from her forehead where the headrest had slammed into her head after hitting the window.
“Oh God.” Hannah breathed feeling her chest tighten, “Maya?”
No response. I pray she isn't dead. Hannah thinks to herself.
Hannah looked around the parking lot for the help they needed, she couldn’t see any pedestrians, she reached for her seat belt and un buckles. Her head landing in the crook of her arm and making it throb even more. She winced at the agony shooting through her body causing tears to roll down her cheeks. The place was deserted. No cars parked next to her and Maya was nowhere in sight.
Where has everyone gone? Why isn’t anyone helping us, why does everything just seem so calm and peaceful? Is this some kind of joke? Is it actually happening? What do we do now? Hannah grabs Maya out of the car and drags her to the side of road, everything hurt inside her. She Sat on the side, crying and gasping. A few tears fall from Maya’s closed eyelids.
Hannah pulls out Maya's wallet and looks through it, trying to find anything useful but finds nothing. Who could help me now? I'm alone and my friend is unconscious. There's too much blood. I can't lose Her. Hannah thought with despair filling her heart, I can't have her die on my watch, not Maya.
Maya moaned softly then shifted slightly. She isn't dead if she's moving so that was a good thing Maya thought to herself. She looked around and sees a cabin near by. That's her way of getting help, she thought. She tries and stands up, She starts staggering towards it slowly while using trees to support herself.
The cabin comes into view, its occupied, she can tell by all the lights being on. She slowly limps closer to the cabin, trying not to trip or knock any loose boards on the ground to give away her presence. As she gets closer she realizes that there's walking around inside, but she couldn't see anyone from the window. Hannah knocks softly on the cracked door frame to alert whoever was inside. After a few moments of silence, a short Woman with light red hair and deep Brown eyes opens the door.
"Who are you?" she asks, her voice filled with curiosity. She doesn't look angry or threatening, in fact she's quite friendly looking.
"I need your help, I've been in an accident and my friend Maya is unconscious. Please help me, I'm scared". The short woman's face had a concerned look upon it.
"Okay, come in and I'll take care of Maya and bring her here", she said, gesturing Hannah in.
"Thank you". Hannah says as she enters the cabin. It smells of pine and lavender. It gives off a homey feeling. This cabin is bigger on the inside, which seemed odd , the walls had a very high ceiling, probably seven feet above her.
"Can I ask your name?" the short woman asked While getting ready to fetch Maya.
"My name is Hannah". She answered. Maya sits on the small rocking chair, made of wood.
"My name is Lisa, you just set still and I'll be back soon.

The short woman walks out into the windy weather, A storm was brewing. Hannah hoped the woman would make it to her friend in time. Hannah sees a liquor cabinet and makes herself a drink . She takes a large gulp, hoping it will calm her nerves and relax her. She hears the wind whistling. The trees rustling in the wind made for a creepy sound. Hannah felt uneasy, she sees headlights thru the tattered curtains. Finally the woman was back with her friend. She felt slightly relieved.
Lisa gently sets Maya on the couch, her skin was a dark gray color, her breathing shallow. There was a bandage taped to Maya's forehead.
"Here let me clean up her wound", Lisa says handing Hannah a first aid kit. "You go ahead and lay down you look tired.”
Hannah lays down on the couch, she closes her eyes, and within minutes she's fast asleep. She wakes up when a gentle breeze grazes by, she looks around, her surroundings changed, the Cabin no longer looks like it did . Instead she feels as if she's laying on a grassy field surrounded by tall trees. She jolts out of it, all a dream she was still in the cabin.
She notices her friend sleeping next to her, Lisa also appears relaxed, she is holding a broom and resting her head on top of it. Hannah looks up at the Ceiling and notices an upstairs. Wonder what's up there, Hannah thinks to herself. Lisa wakes next, she stares at Hannah harshly. "You were drinking, I could smell it on you, is that why you wrecked", the woman asks, while her eyes pierce into my soul.

"I should call the police you, " she says in an accusing tone.
"Uh…no, please don't, I feel real sorry" Hannah says quickly.
It's silent again, Hannah looks around, she's not sure what Lisa will do. "So, uh…" she looks back at her friend "Where are we?"
"Inside my cabin, which is not seen from any roads". I live here off the land, she continued.
"How'd we end up here?".
"You passed out when I brought Your friend inside".
Hannah turns to look at the Kitchen. "But how long ago was that?".
"Almost A day ago, hungry yet she asked?" I nodded yes, my stomach feeling empty. "Is Maya going to be okay", I asked while I ate the soup she pointed to on the stove. Lisa cooked before she went to bed as the girls slept. " She'll be fine, she's banged and bruised but nothing seems broken". Lisa use to be a nurse in her earlier years. "You'll Pay For Your Mistakes with real consequences", she mumbled as she walks upstairs.
Hannah tries and wakes Maya, She wanted confirmation of her friends health, Maya Didn't respond, stiff as ever, her skin cold. She wasn't sleeping at all, she was actually deceased and Lisa had lied.
She lost A friend And Now Wasn't Sure She could trust Lisa.
