The mansion loomed over them as they approached it. Her heart sank with a foreboding that ran like rivers through her entire body. Suddenly she wasn't sure if it was such a great idea to be part of this investigation.

Her lifelong dream was to be a paranormal activity expert and now it was her first sole expedition and she could feel something churning in her tummy. She had been part of reality shows, visited haunted places all over the world, had collection of rare artefacts. And today, she was going to withstand something unusual, her gut feeling it was. Soumya pushed her lightly and she came out of her thoughts. Soumya, her assistant and best friend was adjusting the cameras and microphones all over the place. The cameras were specifically brought from Germany to record the most precise movements and sounds. Soumya was a trained expert and together they required none but just each other.

Soumya signalled a thumbs up and Kapila entered the mansion. She felt as if the mansion was laughing creepily at her arrival. She opened the big wooden door and stepped inside. The birds or bats flew off at this intrusion and left a sudden silent dome full of cobwebs and haphazard wild growth. Kapila was breathing carefully, looking around cautiously, her helmet had a piercing flash light and a microphone was hanging to it. Soumya kept asking her if everything was ok and she was answering her back in brief hmm.

At one spot near the stairs, Kapila felt a cold breeze, she shifted to check the source of wind, when she heard a faint moaning sound. She got alert and whispered 'something' to Soumya. Soumya zoomed all her cameras in the direction Kapila pointed. The room under the stairs was open and had dim light streaming out of it. With a booming heart and parched mouth, Kapila opened the door and found a girl in white gown looming over something. Kapila said "Hello!" once, twice, thrice. The girl stopped moving but didn't turn towards Kapila. Kapila moved carefully towards the girl, when she heard Soumya shouting at her "Nooooooooooo!!!! stop stop..danger ahead". And then the sound fainted and made weird head piercing sounds and Kapila took off the microphone off her helmet. The light on her helmet was fluctuating and suddenly all went black.

Soumya came running to Kapila and said something in her ear that made Kapila's pupils dilate with fear. She started trembling like a leaf and got as cold as ice. Her gut feeling was right, she landed herself in trouble. She held to Soumya but she realised that Soumya wasn't around. Instead, she was holding on to that girl, who was looking at her with her cold black eyes piercing her nails in her neck. The fountain of blood oozed out and Kapila started gargling in it looking desperately for help. While dying, she saw that the girl was feasting on Soumya's brain and Soumya was still alive writhing in pain. She just couldn't scream, as her tongue was plucked out and being eaten by a little child as candy.
