Broken Promise
There was once a happy relationship between Jake and Aira, they met they met in high school, they love each other so much until they finish high school , still they are together. But we all know that even a happy relationship comes to an end...
Few weeks later the first day of school on college will start. Aira was so happy, including Jake. Fast forward, the first day starts. Aira immediately made many friends because she was sociable and had a good sense of humor. Even jake has also had a good reputation because he is not only handsome but also smart, of course that's Aira's bf. All girls at the school is chasing him, one of them was Azriel, Aira's biggest enemy, because she's a big bully, very rude, very mean, and a pick me girl.
After a few day's, the school announced that a summer break will happen. All students are happy, all of them went to a gala, beach and more, while Aira? well, she just chilled at their house and hanged out with Jake.
While Aira was resting on her bed, she received a message from Jake the message was "Im sorry Aira,, but i need to leave you for now... Im going to study abroad, you know that I need to focus on my studies so I hope that you understand that Im doing it for myself and for you too, I can't communicate with you when I'm there so don't message me back because I won't be able to read or message you, I promise that if I came back there at the Philippines I will marry you. I love you so much my Aira, goodbye for now."
After reading that Aira gradually started to tear up because of Jake's message she read. Aira ended up crying overnight, she can't accept the fact that she will not see Jake for a years.
Aira keeps messaging him even if there's no chance that he will reply back.
Few weeks, few months and few years had passed by still no chat from Jake, but one morning, Aira receives a message from Jake saying "Can we met in our favorite place,maybe at 5 pm?"
(The place that Jake refers to is the place where he and Aira first met)
Aira replied and said yes, she ran out of stairs and went to her car.
Aira couldn't stop crying because of happiness when she saw Jake standing and facing the sea with a view of sunset. She hugged him so hard.
"Oh my gosh Jake it's been years,how are you, I've heard your a doctor now." Aira said.
"Well yes, yes I am" He replied
"Actually Im here to give you something"
"What is it?" I curiously asked.
Jake handed her a Wedding Invitation.
"I-is t-this an wedding invitation?"
"Y-yes it is" He replie then he looked down.
"But you promised!!, You promised that you will marry me when yiu finish your course!, That should be me on that f#eaking Wedding Invitation." Aira said with an mixed emotions of anger and sadness marked on her face.
"Im sorry Aira"
"Who is the girl that you will marry?"
"It's Azriel"
"What?!, Azriel?!!, Upon all the girls around the world, why her, why?!"
"Well, we go to the same school, we also have the same classroom so we always see each other and because of that the feelings developed, and I forgot to tell you that Azriel is my first girlfriend before you in short she is my ex and now she's my fiancè."
"Wow" Aira's reaction made Jake realize that he hurted her a lot.
"Im really sorry Aira"
"Sorry? Is that all the things you can say?!, I hate you Jake, I hate you!!!"
"Aira please I hope you can understand that all feelings will never be the same."
"Understand?, well I hope you think on what you did before saying that, and now you are expecting me to go to that s#tupid wedding?!. I just wished I knew it all the time that you've lost your feelings for me." After Aira said that, she ranned out going back to her car, there she cried all her resentment because of what Jake did to him.
"If I knew it all, this won't happened, I won't cry like this. Goodbye my Jake I hope you will be happy with Azriel" Saying that Aira drove the car to went back home.
"Im really sorry Aira is I didn't fulfill that promise, I hope someday you can forgive me. Goodbye Aira" Jake said and he looked at the sunset while it's going down.
"The place where they first met, is also the place where they will ended up."
Always emember, if you make a promise, keep it, many people feelings are hurt just because of a simple promise that is not fulfilled.
