De Vera's POV:
 
September 10, 2022, is the day when we are supposed to meet each other again and gather at Ryle's mansion. This is also the day I became too worried and the day we all found out what Jarred was going through. It's painful for us as his friends that we don't even know anything, and we haven't even done anything for him.
 
"Ryle, go to the hospital; we're here now. Jarred was rushed here. Please don't panic. If only you could have your driver drive. I don't want you to rush here. Just tell Jonas too. Please calm down." My voice is calm and weak. In this situation, I have to ensure everyone's safety. I don't want to continue to regret my lack of attention in this group.
 
After I held the call and put my phone back in my pants, the doctor suddenly came out of the OR.
 
Saying those words again... "We did our best, but I'm really sorry. He died." My tears just fell upon hearing this. I felt the same way when I lost my grandmother. It was the most painful day for me. If it's all just a dream, I want to wake up.
 
We couldn't do anything but cry because of his loss. Ryle and the others still haven't arrived. I thought of just not telling them about it until they arrived to avoid something else happening to them.
 
It's already 3:24 p.m. when Ryle, Zed, and Jonas arrive at the hospital. When our eyes met, I immediately shook my head. Tears immediately flowed from their eyes. This is the day I regret. We all blame ourselves for what happened. If I could go back in time and make everything right, I would.
 
After two weeks, he was buried. It's hard to process all those fast events. I haven't been able to work for almost 3 weeks. Even when I went back to work, I couldn't focus. Hans was also rushed to the hospital on the fifth day after Jarred was buried because he had a high fever. Zed, who forced himself to work and help his sister because it was really necessary to end the crisis facing their company, and his and his sister's efforts were not in vain, and all went really well because their collaboration with a large company was successful. But despite this, there are traces of sadness on his face. We all can't believe it. Time flies; it seems like we were all happy recently.
 
Now, I'm afraid that it will happen again. That's why I came to ask how everyone's doing more often. I always ask if they have a problem. We became more open to each other. Sometimes I just think, Why did I just realize this now when it was possible in the first place? Why didn't I do it back then?
 
As time passed, we were able to move on little by little. Little by little, we accepted what happened before.

I'm hanging out at Jonas' coffee shop today.
 
"Calvin, do you have any news about the woman who tried to save Jarred before?" Jonas asked me suddenly.
 
"Why did you ask? As far as I know, she was said to have been brought to another country." I answered him.
 
"No, bro, what I mean is—" Jonas was interrupted when Zed suddenly arrived.
 
"It's because your question is wrong. It should be, HAVE YOU HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THE WOMAN WHO TRIED TO SAVE JARRED FROM DROWNING? That should be the question, Mr. P.I.O." Zed said with a smile.
 
"I don't know anything, so that's why I'm asking...Why? Do you know something? Did you hear something?" Jonas asked him.
 
"That's a good question, bro. This is how it is... That woman is the sole heir of one of the biggest corporations in the country. Then, after the incident happened, she was immediately transferred to another country to be treated there. The bad thing is that woman has been comatose for almost a year since she drowned," he explained.
 
"Oh then? That's all you heard? Besides, who did you find it out from?" I wonder.
 
"That's it, Pres. Do you remember our collaboration with a big company? It was discussed in the company that the only daughter and heir of Harrison's Corporation was said to be comatose.What's more shocking is that the woman who tried to save Jarred and the heir I'm talking about are the same. I just confirmed it just now that they are one and the same." He explained further.
 
"Ahh, that's kind of a little bit sad knowing that she's the only heir, and then that's what happened to her. She just tried to save Jarred then. It's a good thing someone saw him when he jumped into the sea, right? Otherwise, we might not know what Jarred did. It also took a while to find Jarred that time since the sky was overcast. What's worst is that the woman was found almost an hour ago, right?" That's how I knew what happened then. We didn't immediately find out all the details about the woman because we were too drowned in grief at that unexpected event.
 
"Do you think she will wake up? I know my question seems weird, but what if? Oh, just forget it." It was obvious that Jonas was horrified by what he said.
  
"Well, my story isn't over yet. I found out one more thing! Do you know?" Zed was interrupted when Ryle came.
 
 "There are only three of you here. Where are the others? I thought I was the only one who's not here," Ryle said.
 
"Gosh, it's really getting hard to get you and make you come join us. It's good that you were able to join us the other night for a drink, hahaha. But why were you so slow to reply to my chat yesterday?" Zed teased him.
 
"Because Raine ordered me to clean the whole house," Ryle answered.
 
"What happened? You made her angry again?" I teased him.
 
"Bro, I got home at 2 a.m. one night, when we had a drink," he seriously said.
 
"Huh? I thought you and Jonas were together?" I was confused.
 
"That's right, Jonas and I were supposed to be together, but do you know what this guy did? He fell asleep. I called his mom, and she picked him up right there because he didn't want to leave. He's even more stubborn. Then when I was supposed to go out from the KTV bar, Jaydi is back. He's even having trouble walking; he's walking zigzag. Well, he didn't drink too much, didn't he? It turns out he's just feeling unwell at that time, but he still drinks."
 
"Huh, it's not obvious though. I thought he's okay. Jaydi is really something; maybe because he has a problem? I mean, that's why he drank even though he felt unwell."
 
"I don't know? Ah, it's just that it was hard for me to talk to him last night haha. He was even babbling, even the nurse just controlling her laugh. But she couldn't take it and suddenly started laughing hahaha, then this Jaydi heard her. And then Jaydi said, "Why are you laughing?" "Hahaha, I was laughing so hard even though I was really annoyed by him at the same time. Then again, I left my phone at the KTV. I want to borrow his phone, but he won't let me. He's just so stubborn and TOO MUCH."
 
Ryle tells the story that it is obvious that he is really stressed with Jaydi.
 
"Maybe it's because you might read some of the messages there, so Jaydi doesn't want to lend his phone to you, haha.By the way, what happened when you got home?" I asked Ryle.
 
"Well, I went back at the KTV to have my phone back, the crew there saw it. Then when I opened it, there were 29 missed calls and many messages. I quickly drove home. I even thought that maybe Raine was already asleep. I entered the house silently and avoiding any sounds from my footsteps. When I turned on the light, I was startled that she was in the living room. She was obviously annoyed with me. I immediately explained and told her the whole thing. She said she wasn't angry but she still ordered me to clean three bathrooms in the house. Fortunately, it wasn't that dirty so when I finished, I went to sleep right away. In the morning was much worst, she woke me up really early. I didn't sleep for four hours, she made me clean the whole house." Disappointed, he told us what happened. While we were obviously laughing at him,
 
"That's okay, bro; at least you're alive." Zed teased him with a laugh. We all laughed at what he said. "Back to our topic, bros! You talk a lot," Zed said again.
 
"Gosh, you're the slow talker. Go ahead, don't hang yourself," Jonas said to him, obviously annoyed.
 
"Okay, this is it. The other news, I mean the good news! The girl woke up; it was around 3 o'clock in the morning. After that, I also just found out that they were talking about the same thing to the company, and it's about the girl who had been drowned with Jarred a year ago. Oh right, it's a big miracle that she woke up. She was comatose for a year. So what's the plan? Should we go and visit her?" Zed shared the information he gathered. I also think his question is correct and might be a good idea.
 
"Okay then, let's visit her." We'll go there when everyone is free," I said, to which they all nodded.
 
"Yup, that's a good idea. It's good that we can visit her so we can say thank you to her because somehow she was kind, and she was really brave for doing that for some stranger, risking her own life, given the fact that her life has been put in danger." This is what Jonas said. He was right.
 
After a week, we all decided to go see that girl.
