My name is Jertonya Mays and I grew up in a abusive household I remember when my dad would always beat my mom and my sister and me had to witness this all the time.I always thought that my life wasnt going to be easy when things got worse he would abuse me when my mother wasnt home.My mom would be at work not even knowing the things that is going on while she was gone.Until one day she stay home from work discover that he was abusing me while she was at work.I remember his fanily justifying his abuse as normal and not dysfunctional.I always dream of life outside toxics I never really had it easy.My father would be its either his way or no way.I wanted the peace and not lost my own sanity.I remember his family treating us bad and planning acts of ignorance out on us.But thank god all the things they have tried failed.I thought would never have that life.But God show me so much more.It all happen when my mom died in 2015 I almost drop out of school not realize that I need my education.God spoke to me telling me I am going to use you and your sister.My father grew worse as the year pass by god.Than spoke to me 2019 is the year kingdom of god ministry help us in many ways.Getting away was one thing but that where we with to rapha house God show me a new life outside what I was going through where I met pastor deona benson and dedrick benson they became my spiritual mom and dad who love me and support me in my goals.God gave me a family I prayed for it and it all started when I with to Kingdom of god ministry where we met two amazing and loving and caring people pastor laverne and minister valencia I love them both.
