Jessica's P.O.V
I was still sitting down in the couch thinking about the conversation that Jason and I just had. God knows what he'll do next. It was now after 10 and Jason still hadn't come in as yet. I heard the front door open. I sat up looking at Jason who was making his way over to me. I looked at him suspiciously. " I' m taking Jase and Jessy with me back to New York", he said confidently. My heart sank. " What?", I asked standing up. " You had them for five years Jess. At least let me do this. ", he said angrily. " You can' t do that. I' m not letting you take them to that horrible place. They' re not ready for that yet!", I shouted angrily walking around the living room now. He looked at me folding his arms. " It' s just for three weeks Jess. If it makes you feel better then come with them!", he shouted. I stopped in my tracks thinking about going back to New York. The place where my parents threw me out of the house. I looked up at Jason not knowing what to say. " I need time", I said finally. " Time?. I already booked the tickets for 6 pm tomorrow. ", he said. I looked at him shocked out of my midst. " what!, Jason I have a business to run and a life. I can' t just get up and go to New York tomorrow. ", I said. " It' s not a question Jessica. If not tomorrow then when?. I need my share of time with them as well. And I cannot come and live here in Canada. I too have a job you know and I gave you the option of coming. But I' m taking them with me.", Jason said walking up to me. " I hate you right now", I said walking off into the kitchen. He followed behind me. "Is that a yes?", he asked. " I'll come with them tomorrow but.... I can't stay there for three weeks. I too have a business to run. And you see Jason; this is going to get complicated", I said taking a seat around the island table. " How so?", he asked leaning up at the doorway with his hands in his pocket. " If I come with you tomorrow and then come back to Canada. You' re going to have the kids and I know you. You' re not going to let them go and my life is in Canada Jason. I don' t like the idea of going back and forth with Jase and Jessy.", I said worried. He looked at me with folded arms. " They need to meet the rest of their family members Jessica. And going tomorrow will be a great opportunity because mom and dad' s anniversary is in the afternoon.", he said. " Why didn't you just say that then?", I asked in relief. " And I don' t like the idea of that either. The entire community is going to be there. Do you know what that means?. Are you prepared for that?.", I asked walking out of the kitchen and looking at him. He didn't answer. So I thought.
