Mickey killed one inside the mountain. When he came back, Mickey saw more Basilisks. Merlin said, "They came after you left. Don't blame yourself, Lad. You had to go to Dragon Mountain." The Kingdom was different. Cobblestone walkways were now sand; as were all plots of pavement. Tink's Tea kettle was gone. Merlin said, "I took that to the castle. The fairies are safe. The children and Sprites are in the castle, along with everyone else. Mickey's wand became mirror-like at its tip. The Basilisks were killed when they looked at themselves. Merlin said, "I have saved the magic we've already salvaged." Merlin took Mickey to the castle. The magic was in the form of dust. It was inside glass globes. Any plant life the Basilisks didn't destroy was planted in hydroponic vessels. Merlin said, " The Jawas seem to think our Kingdom is their homeworld." Mickey asked, "How do we restore it?" Merllin said, " I can terraform it; raise hills and mountains. Flatten them. Cause mountains to appear or erupt. The fairies can do the rest. Stay here with everyone." Mickey watched outside a great hall window as Merlin and the fairies worked. Aladdin was outside on his flying carpet. He saw basilisks everywhere. Al had a mirror with him. Necia burned the basilisks. Slowly, the Magic Kingdom was back to the way it was. Now, it wasn't completely restored, but there were no more Basilisks. Maleficent's curse still had to be lifted. Children and Never Sprites played or went on rides. Everyone else did their jobs. Mickey said, "We're back on the right track."
