“Laura please take your sister to a penguin exhibit at the mall”

“Mom I was going to hang with my friends, bringing my little sister is so lame!”

“Young lady, you either take Betsy or you don’t go at all”


“ Yeah, whatever “


When both sisters got to the mall Lauren was so busy with her friends that she forgot she was supposed to watch Betsy or take her to see the penguins that she didn’t notice when Betsy slipped off by herself. Betsy first visited the candy shop and browsed all the aisles filled with different types of delicious candies but she didn’t have money to buy any, as she looked at the candies, a mother with a son her age walked up to her and offered Betsy a huge lollipop. She thanked the woman and skipped out of the shop. After a while Laura had noticed that Betsy was gone and started to panic “ Guys my sister is gone” she said “ oh yeah totally, she said something about penguins and left “ one of the girls answered

“ And you didn’t think to tell me?, she’s just six years old dude my mom is going to kill me. I gotta go” said Laura.


Meanwhile Betsy was having the time of her life building a bear in the Build A Bear shop.
“Sir, please where can i find the penguins?” Said Betsy and the shop attendant showed her the way. Laura first searched all the washrooms, then went from store to store showing them a picture of Betsy on her phone.
“ Yeah I’ve seen her, she wanted to see the penguins, you just missed her” the Build a bear shop attendant said when she asked him.
She quickly rushed to the penguin exhibit and there was Betsy with her face pressed up against the glass where the penguins were

“Betsy! You scared me!” Laura said on top of her voice whilst hugging her.

“ Why are you crying Laura, I just wanted to see the penguins, I made a bear but I lost it and I ate a huge lollipop,I’m sorry, don’t cry”

“Yeah I know, I know but you shouldn’t have gone without me, don’t do that ever again, I love you so much and I’m sorry too,and please don’t tell mom”

“ Okay Laura I love you too”



Later when the girls got home their mother asked

“ So how was your day at the mall, Betsy anything exciting happen?”

Betsy looked at Laura winked at her and said “I saw the penguins mama, today was the best day ever!”
