Dacoit...The Bandits of Chambal
“all the characters and incidents in this story are imaginary; resemblance to any person dead or alive is purely coincidental”.
“My body is just a medium for utilizing the energy of which I am made of to understand the world better. I never estimated the force and speed of the hunters in a mission for my termination, but they always estimates mine. I’m always a step ahead of them; no-one but only me can conquer me”.
The entire terrain vibrated at the words of Jwala, the most notorious Dacoit of his time. The way he was preparing himself and his men showed the explosion of a dangerous outcome soon. A handful of members of the group became busy in turning off the fire flames though it was almost dark.
The human being is the most intelligent and advanced of all beast on the green earth. But, modernism snatched away some of the latent and inborn instinct of the present human. The gang of Jwala was an exception, they systematically and analytically preserved all the inborn instincts which we know as the animal instinct. Their mastery over smell and hearing made them the masters of the dangerous woodland of Chambal.
“ Sardar, this is the time which is most dangerous for all the bandits, and for you it’s the time for the perfect shot. It has been a great riddle for the entire gang of Dacoit, I mean to say a riddle for Jwala ki toli”,one of the Dacoits enquired.
The undefeated gang of robbers was different from the other gangs. They never knew exactly ,who their leader was. In fact they were leaded by a group of two, a dominant male and his female counterpart. The gang never had any queries, as the plan of the two were unbeatable and incomparable.
Besides the entire gang called the duo as ‘Jwala’, which means blaze.
“Why this day? The longest day of the year; I’ve been tracking this very day since last month. Every year, we the different poles of the same magnet track this day with our calculations. It’s long day, a very long day, we the bandits cannot accomplish our loot and robbery as the sky welcomes the dark hue very late this day. The cops in Chambal feels relaxed this day and this is our golden hour to hit the bulls eye. A day which never seems to end”.
As Jwala was speaking, the voice showed continuous fluctuation from a male to female tempo. The plan for the day started just after the midnight, the beginning of a new day. The darkness started fading slowly and slowly indicating the appearance of the morning sun in few hours. The gang of robbers left their hideout before the sun rise.
