The next morning, as the bright sunlight streamed into my room, I woke up. Although I still felt a sense of peace, the thought of whether Alex would notice the story I posted on my blog was nagging at me. I slowly got out of bed and opened the window to breathe in the fresh air. Outside, the birds were chirping, and the streets were just waking up. In these quiet hours of the day, it was easier to push aside my anxiety.
After washing my face, I made myself a coffee and settled on the couch with my laptop. As I checked the comments on my blog, my heart raced a little.
