The Rain In The December
"Usually it does not rain in the month of December but that day it did, because they were leaving each other forever."
Akansha was turning 20 this Christmas and she had planned her evening supper with Rahul. Rahul was the only person who was close to Akansha, they were as close as these two words "we" she could share everything she wanted but there was one secret that she wanted Rahul to know on a particular day and Rahul happily agreed to it. 12 years of friendship asks only one thing that's 'more years together' friendship. Akansha was an orphan she was brought up in an orphanage of Rahul's father.

It was 24th of December and Akansha was sad and hadn't slept whole night as on this Christmas eve she planned a celebration and was going to tell him the secret. Rahul was too excited to hear the secret that he was not on his leg and also because he has to tell her tell her that he too had got an offer from good company in Britain. Rahul bought a pair of red shoes for her which she admired since long. It was 12 am(25th December) and her phone rang, guess who's call it was? Yes it was Rahul but she chose not to pick up the call, she was extremely sad that night. Just try to imagine the situation where two people are at two different places, one is extremely sad and other one extremely happy and excited.

It was 5 pm and Rahul picked her up and they visited the popular Church of their place. He could see the beautiful face of Akansha 'sad' that day. He thought of taking her to "cake boy's shop" first as it was the place where Akansha would never say no to. But that day she said "no" Rahul got disheartened and took her to the Church. It was around 7pm when Rahul told her that he has a secret too. Akansha held his for the first time that day and smiled at him, gazing into his eyes as if she was watching the world she will be living in thereafter. That was the time when Rahul took a breath of relief. At 8 pm they had took off to the restaurant where Akansha planned their supper.
Rahul had no idea why she hadn't smiled until he had not spoke to her about the secret.

Rahul had no idea how deeply the secret would affect him. Actually, they both were mad into their world of friendship. Akansha on other hand was too happy that she was able to celebrate her moment according to her choice. They ordered a bottle wine and parma ham (cold meat). Akansha was somewhere waiting for Rahul to ask her the secret as she had to reach her next destination soon. They both enjoyed the 1st bottle of wine happily while the 2nd bottle was half remaining. Akansha chose to speak about the secret by herself.

Akansha asked him to take his chair near to her so that she could hold his hand and speak looking into his eyes. It was around 10:30 Akansha took off a book from her bag and Rahul like mad in happiness told her "Akansha I have..." before he could say anything she cried like her cry had all the words. Rahul could not say a word but asked her to say all she wants to, he wiped her eyes and asked her to stop but Akansha didn't. She while crying told him "Rahul, hardly I might have few minutes more of my life Please read the first page of the diary and stop me before it rains" at last she kissed his hands and went off saying "Please stop me". Rahul was jumbled in the situation weather to read the dairy's page or to stop her". But the secret was in the page and he opened the diary and there he reads "Stop me before it rains".
Rahul ran as if it was the last time he was asked by the almighty to help her. But as soon as he reaches near to Akansha it began raining and the only thing he cought that night was Akansha's soul.
Rahul could not bear the situation and ran back to the restaurant in thought of what happened is a lie and there's still the Akansha sitting inside the restaurant but all that he found there was the dairy and a half filled bottle of wine. Rahul sat on the same table whole night reading the diary. The next day when he went back to the spot where Akansha left, he saw that the land was completely dried and there was no more Akansha there.

Every Christmas night Rahul visits the same church, restaurant and that place where he saw Akansha for the last time with half filled bottle of wine and pair of red shoes to give to her, because Akansha was alive in the world she gazed last time (Rahul's eyes).

Rahul is still in a hope of another rain in Christmas.
