Even If No One Cares
I've been in love with writing my whole life, well really, with words. I started reading at four and stayed lost in books well into my adult life.
My passion for writing came in middle school, but even in elementary school I won more than one writing contest. One even got me a special opportunity to meet the carriers of the Olympic torch as it passed through my small hometown.
Around twelve years old is when I discovered that when you don't have anyone to talk to, your journal is always there to listen; better yet, my journal didn't judge or talk back. I began dumping all my teenage angst onto any piece of paper I found and that hobby has continued following me throughout my life.
I've written poems on empty cigarette packs, napkins, docks and benches..who knows where else. When I had an urge to write and no paper around I made do.
The older I've gotten, the less time I've devoted to my hobby and passion, unfortunately....
