Inspo from The Dynamite Room
This novel is from Jason Hewitt! I've just taken an inspiration from it and written a scenario that's not in the book. I've given a peaceful ending to the protagonist here. let me not spoil it for you more! 😊

"Lydia, turn away and don't look back!" I command. She hurriedly does it and as the pounding on the door by the British soldiers increase, I close my eyes and with one last breath, I pull the trigger of my gun.

"Heiden, Heiden..." I hear a beautiful angelic voice call out to me. I open my eyes and see a bright light shine on me and I instinctly shield my eyes from the glare. I take a minute to look around me and look at children laughing and playing around while their parents are sitting on their picnic mats eating their sandwiches. As I'm still looking around, I see a small girl run up to me excitedly saying, "Papa, Papa!"

I was stunned for a moment and she jumped in my arms for a hug. She pulls back to look at me with joy in her eyes and that's when it hit me, she has Eva's brown eyes, so beautiful and kind. I suddenly look up to see Eva walking towards me with an enchanting smile, holding me captive with her alluring glow.

I am sitting on the grass still shocked, but I manage to stand up as she walks over to me. My eyes swell up with tears at the sight of her and I began to say that I am sorry, so sorry that I wasn't able to save her, but she stopped me halfway by putting her hands on my lips and calmly saying, "Shhh, I know. You're here now and that's all that matters. Ich liebe dich, Heiden."

I pause for a moment taking in the gorgeous sight of her and say "Ich liebe dich, Eva." As she wipes away a tear that trickled down my face. We stare into each others eyes for a good minute and say nothing but lean in slowly to share a blissful kiss. She pulls away for a moment to catch her breath, leaning her head on mine. We smile at each other and I hold her hand as we walk into the sunset.
